Compare Three Numbers - Up to 10

Learn to find which number is biggest, smallest, or in the middle!

Understanding Number Comparison

Comparing numbers helps us understand their size relationship!
When we compare three numbers, we can find out which is the biggest (greatest), which is the smallest (least), and which one is in the middle. It's like lining up your toys from tallest to shortest!

How to Compare Three Numbers

1️⃣ Look at all three numbers carefully

2️⃣ Find the biggest number first (look for the largest amount)

3️⃣ Then find the smallest number (look for the smallest amount)

4️⃣ The number that's left is in the middle!

Let's Practice Together!

Example 1: Which number is the biggest?

5 8 3

Example 2: Put these numbers in order from smallest to biggest

7 2 4

Parent Tips 🌟

  • Use everyday objects: Compare groups of toys, snacks, or crayons to make it tangible. "Do we have more red blocks, blue blocks, or green blocks?"
  • Make it a game: Play "number detective" where your child has to find the biggest or smallest number in a set of three you show them.
  • Connect to real life: Compare ages in your family ("Who is youngest? Who is in the middle? Who is oldest?") or compare heights of family members.
